The HAWKS originally started within Joyce Park. In 2005 we were moved to our current facility at 252 Joe Nuxhall Way. We currently administer a field on the City of Hamilton Waste Water Treatment Department of 17 acres and share a 200 acre grassland set aside for wildlife and bird watching.
Our flying site is dedicated to radio control model aircraft. Operations commence under the rules set forth by the AMA and the City of Hamilton. Some amenities include a 550' by 30' paved runway, pit tables, starting stands, a shelter, clubhouse, electricity and a port-o-let.
As of October 5th, 2023 the FRIA application for the Hawks Field at 252 Joe Nuxhall Way was APPROVED. A map of the FRIA flying area will be posted on the club bulletin board.
